Phil Emmanuel Memorial Concert – Huge Success

The Phil Emmanuel Concert was a great success on Tuesday 7th of August and raised approximately $15,000 for the “SupportAct” musicians charity. The audio stream of the concert was heard live on Bay FM and hopefully in the future, extracts of the concert will be replayed on Bay FM. Some of our own management people helped in the production of this great night including Tony Edwards and Sharyn Doolan who assisted in artists liaison and fabulous catering for all crew and artists. David Westray directed the visual streaming of the concert seen on Festival TV, whilst Bay FM’s own Michael “China Walker” aka John Paul Young and the Allstar band, created, produced and performed in the amazing concert.
The concert was hosted by Phil’s good friend and comedian, Chris Franklin and it was a gathering of Aussie music icons that have shared the journey, including Tommy Emmanuel, Graeme Connors, Normie Rowe, Mick Pealing (Stars), Peter Cupples (Stylus), Doc Span(USA), Gillian EastoeJudah Kelly (The Voice), Danny Marx Young (son of JPY), Kevin Borich and many more!
The “Fargone Beauties” reformed for this concert with their original drummer – Tommy Emmanuel!!
